The Goldeneye Vin Gris is crafted from juice drawn from harvested Pinot Noir grapes that is left on the skins for approximately 22 hours, just long enough to provide richness and a hint of color to the wine. The juice extracted for the Vin Gris is immediately cold-fermented to preserve the delicate aromatics and flavors that are essential to a light- to medium-bodied Rosé wine. Aged briefly in stainless steel tanks to further preserve its natural qualities, this wine is best served cold and is a wonderful accompaniment to a variety of foods.

Wine Profile

Production Notes
Varietal Composition: 100% estate Pinot Noir
Winemaker Notes
From its light salmon hue to its fetching aromas of candied strawberry, stone fruit, bubble gum and guava, this is a delightfully bright and aromatic wine. On the palate, a racy, mouthwatering acidity provides energy and length to the juicy red berry, citrus and mineral flavors, driving the wine to a bright finish with hints of flintiness and pink grapefruit zest.
Production
2019 began with a wet winter and early spring that led to a later-than-average budbreak, and a fruit set featuring small clusters with beautifully concentrated berries. Dry conditions and moderate temperatures throughout late spring and summer were followed by a warm August that allowed us to achieve excellent ripeness. Our Pinot Noir harvest began in mid-September and was finished by mid-October, with the wines showing deep, rich colors, lovely aromatics and generous fruit.
