Intense red raspberry aromas with beautiful underlying layers of dried lavender, white pepper, vanilla and clove—all with a hint of oak-inspired toastiness. The entry is rich and round with abundant raspberry jam flavors that lead to a lingering finish filled with juicy red fruit and sweet cedar layers.
Due to a wet spring and long, mild growing season, the harvest began two weeks later than normal. A strong heat wave and late rains required us to be extra diligent during harvest, with a focus on fine-tuning and timely picking. As is often the case in milder years, our 2010 wines are marked by their elegance and balanced natural acidity—qualities we have worked to preserve in the winery.
